It doesn’t mean they don’t love or want to be around you. It means they need to quiet their mind and replenish their energy.

3) They are creative.

Most empaths express themselves creatively in a variety of ways. From singing to painting to dancing, empaths have a strong creative streak that can’t be denied. They are also highly adept at expressing their emotions through body movement. For this reason, empaths can make exceptional dancers, actors, and musicians.

4) They easily get overwhelmed in public spaces.

Places like shopping malls, supermarkets or stadiums where there are lots of people around can fill the empath with turbulently vexed emotions that are coming from others.

5) They are deeply intense and passionate.

They are moved by gifting to those they love. There is a sense of pleasure in knowing they are making you happy. When they feel the appreciation they are yours forever. 7) Their hearts break daily.

It’s overwhelming being an empath. Some days all it takes is for somebody to say one “wrong” thing to them or to see an image of something terrible or hear a story about a person they don’t know who’s gone through the unthinkable and they’re crying like babies. Their hearts break easily. It can be devastating at times to be an Empath so on those days, let them cry. No questions or advice needed, just accept their hearts are heavy from this world and they need to cry it out.

Empaths rely on their emotions to guide them. Trying to control an empath causes them to lose the light that guides them. They’ll shut down completely and lock away their feelings. Remember that an empath needs space to breathe, time alone to recharge and room to be free.

12) They feel others’ emotions and take them on as their own.

They really feel and, in many cases, take on the emotions of others. This is a huge one for empaths. Some empaths can feel emotions of those near them and some can even feel emotions from those a vast distance away. Sometimes, it’s both. This is why empaths need to be extremely selective about who they surround themselves with. Others’ energies can have a big effect.

13) They find routine, rules, or control imprisoning.

Anything that takes away from their freedom is very debilitating. They get bored and distracted if they’re not stimulated. If they’re not interested – be it school, work, or out with friends – they switch off and end up daydreaming or doodling. They have an endless imagination and an inquisitive mind.

14) They have regular mood swings.

With unpredictable mood swings, an empath may not initially understand their emotional personality type until they have discounted all possibilities of being bipolar or depressed. Up and down like a roller coaster, they attract physical non-verbal energy and if approached for a conversation, are open targets for people to express their saddest and harshest stories. This means experiencing various feelings embedded in the stories being told. The ultra-sensitive empath feeling a sense of responsibility to listen, tends to soak in the emotional pain and in some cases, absorbs the physical symptoms the other person is having as well.
